Every character will receive the ability to use one specific type of magic of their choosing upon the creation of their application. A secondary magic can be unlocked as you reach higher ranks and gain enough jewel as well as experience. The maximum number of magics any one character can have at a time are limited to two – inclusive of Holder Magic.

Magic and spells can only consist of a single element or none, except in the case of very rare magics that are capable of using dual elements.

If you have already filled up your two magic slots but want a different magic, you would be required to remove one of your existing magics to free up a slot. To do this requires a fee to wipe the slate clean, as well as however much the new magic that you want will cost.

Spells and Spell slots

Each character gets 5 D rank spell slots to start with. These aren't required to be trained in order to use them. Spells can be upgraded to one rank above your character's own by training, except for S rank and SS rank spells.

Spoiler:

Spell Training

Spells can be upgraded by first getting them approved, and then creating an IC training topic where your character trains their magic. Keep in mind that while we don't have any specific requirements on the content of the topic, the character must actually use the spells being trained.

Spoiler:

Magic Power

Magic Power - or Mana - is the source of a Wizard's magic. It defines their ability to cast spells and the extent they can use their magic for. Completely depleting their source of magic is dangerous as it not only makes spell casting impossible, it also knocks them out - often with dire consequences.

While it doesn't regenerate in topics, you regain your total MP after exiting the topic so you can start anew for the next one. The amount of mana accessible to a mage increases as they grow in power.

Spoiler:

Upgrades and Add ons

Here at FT-Zero, we allow regular magics to be upgraded to more powerful versions – effectively allowing them to be just as good as most of the rare or limited magic out there. Each magic can have one extra attribute added to it. This add on is permanent and cannot be changed without completely wiping away the magic. For a list of all the upgrades and add ons available, please visit the High End Magic Shop so that you can plan ahead.

Custom Magic

Not a fan of the available canon magic or the ones in the shop? Don’t lose hope. We allow you to create your own magic (within the rules and guidelines, of course). You could create a water magic with the added ability to use healing spells or a darkness magic that deals damage over time. These are only some of the available combinations. Customs magic will cost a fair amount of jewel with the price depending on what exactly your new magic does. Your magic will have to be posted in the Custom Magic Shop and approved by staff before you can use it.

Limited Magic

There are types of magic that are rare or forgotten and as such, they aren’t often seen around. As expected, these magics are powerful and follow a slightly different set of rules. To make up for these benefits, they have their fair share of drawbacks. For one thing, Slayer magic cannot be upgraded at all unlike regular magics. As for the other, it requires the character to be active or risk losing their limited magic. Once a magic has been lost due to inactivity, you will be blacklisted from obtaining another limited magic until it is proven that you can be active. There are a set number of slots available for these mages and as such, a mage cannot have two different limited magics at once.

Take Over : 6 slots. These can be applied for during character creation, assuming there is a spot available.

ReQuip: 6 slots. These can be applied for during character creation, assuming there is a spot available.

Dragon Slayer: 6 slots in total. 3 are open to apply for when creating a character. The other three are obtained through special events.

Devil Slayer: 6 slots in total. 2 are open to apply for when creating a character. The other four are obtained through special events.

God Slayer: 6 slots in total. 2 are open to apply for when creating a character. The other four are obtained through special events.
